My Fitness Pal

I just wondered if anyone has used the app "My Fitness Pal" and how accurate do they find it to be? Not so much on the food side of things as you can always check a packet and add it on but in terms of adding your exercise on it.



I only ask because it gives me a figure of around 700 calories (burnt) for a generic martial arts lesson. Do this seems fairly accurate for say an hour of kick boxing with a warm up, pad work, normally some endurance tasks or more pad work and a cool down?



Also I use one app to measure my runs and after running for 30 mins at an average pace of just under ten minutes it says I have burnt over 500 calories. On My Fitness Pal 30 mins at the same speed gives me a figure of 400.



I know there are a lot of variable, height, weight metabolism etc but what do you think? Do these seem reasonable?
