Hey guys,
A bunch of college buddies are staying at a friends' cabin near Garnet Lake in Johnsburg, just northwest of Warrensburg. I've been around that area before and know there's good access to the Hudson and also some tribs leading into it, specifically the Patterson Brook. I've been fly fishing throughout the winter as I'm lucky enough to have a great year-round brook & brown trout stream 10 minutes from my house and my girlfriend who lives in southern New Hampshire has a fantastic year-round trout river down the road from her house. Not a bad gig. So without any plans to stash the fly rods away for the remainder of the winter, I figure I'll try my luck on whatever open stream water I can find up there.
Does anyone have experience fly fishing that section of the hudson? Has anyone fished the lower section of the Patterson Brook? Any insight would be much appreciated.
