I would think it goes without saying that most of us here, if not all, love the Adirondacks moreso than any other park in the Northeast. What's your vote for second favorite?
My second favorite would have to be the Shawangunks which is an incredibly unique formation south of the Catskills that in some places makes me feel as if I was in Middle Earth itself. It was my favorite until I started exploring the ADKs more but I still love going there, climbing into the fault lines, standing under the waterfalls, and hiking amongst the dwarf pines on the white quartz conglomorate cliffs.
