I'm looking for opinions on these SKI SHOES. What does everyone think of how well they would work for mountains?
I am distance limited due to a bad ankle but can ski farther than I can snowshoe. I'm thinking these would be a good option for skiing in and then using them as more of a snowshoe to ascend. I would also be carrying crampons just in case.
Does anyone know of any other options? I really want to be able to do it all in a mountaineering boot. I do have a pair of short BC telemark skis. I have been looking for a pair of Silvretta 500 bindings for a while now but they are very much in demand and I have not been able to snag a pair for what I am willing to pay. ((OMG!))
