Boreas

Wanted to get in there and see what all the fuss was about, so a buddy and I headed in for couple of days last weekend. Got some rain the first day, some high winds and a dusting of snow the second day, but the hike out on Monday was beautiful blue skies the whole time. We got to see it in quite a few different conditions! Sunday night it was in the low 20's, and all the water we left out was frozen. Winter has arrived in the north country....

All the leaves were long gone, but we did get to see some beautiful stands of larch trees that were a brilliant golden yellow in the sun. Here's a few pictures I snapped with my phone. I might need to hike back in there with my large format camera and go all Ansel Adams on it. :)
