I'm thinking about maybe doing a 3-4 day trip in the William C. Whitney Wilderness before winter shows up in full force, to explore the foot trails in the area. Just curious if there's any issues with any of the trails in this area. I understand that most of them follow old roads so I imagine generally they are in good shape. I would also imagine that the stretches that serve as portage trails are also at least somewhat well traveled and easy to follow.
I'd like to fully explore the area if possible, with visits to Camp Bliss, Rock Pond, possibly Antediluvian Pond (time permitting), Hardigan Pond, Touey Falls, and Lillypad Pond, so any general info on any of these areas would be appreciated.
A couple of specific questions:
How hard these days is it to follow the old road from Rock Pond to Antediluvian Pond?
How difficult is it to follow the old railroad grade along the southeast shore of Hardigan Pond to reach Touey Falls?
Thanks in advance!
