Hunting high or low?

I know this time of year you need to hunt where the doe are plain and simple. Aside from that have you seasoned ADK hunters patterned your kills to hunting high or in low areas at specific parts of the day. For example hunting high on a side of a ridge or mountain in the morning or hunting lower low land swamps etc in the eve. I know deer use thermals to their advantage and some say the bucks head up high in the morning working there way up feeding to bed. What are your thoughts?
