Made it out for some brook trouting before the crowds descend on the park. It was an ugly day but the fishing was worth it.
Caught some shorties but then came this guy:

Temiscamie hybrid I believe. If you lay him out straight and stretch at tad, he hits 20". At least that's what I'm going by. I put him back rather than do that stuff. This fish unleashed a battle I'll never forget. At one point he ran with just his back out of the water for at least 10 feet, kind of like a dolphin carrying a rider at seaworld.
Caught a few more smaller but equally spirited fish then called it a day. All fish caught casting full sink with a variety of flies, two secrets and a dragonfly nymph. Lots of pretty flowers in bloom (lady slippers and trillium)
