Jackrabbit Trail question

I'm thinking of doing the Whiteface Inn to McKenzie Pond section of the trail tomorrow with my wife. My wife can do a good snowplow but is not that confident on a narrow windy descent. So is the trail down to McKenzie Pond a wide woods road where a snowplow will allow you to control your speed ? Or is it a narrow trail. I don't want my wife to hate me forever for making her do a trail beyond her limits, but pushing the limits a bit is ok.
