Skied to Second Pond on St. Patricks Day. Snow conditions were outstanding, plenty of cover. Similar to my past few trips, there were quite a few streams and wet ares to negotiate, but overall the trail was excellent with no blowdown. We followed snowshoe tracks for the first mile and then broke trail the rest of the way to the pond. It was very windy with blowing and drifting snow. Chatiemac Rd was in good shape, but the trailhead parking was not plowed. There is room for a few cars at the trailhead. We did not see anyone else for the entire trip.
