Two Ways to Support the Keene Valley Grocery

The Keene Valley Grocery, long a resource for High Peaks explorers, burned down on Sunday. The building is a total loss. The owners and employees are out of work and are considering their options. Now is the time for the Adirondack outdoors community to step up, in this time of need.

There are two ways to donate to support The Valley Grocery:

A fund has been established by friends and neighbors for donations to help the Valley Grocery family affected by the loss of their business. The Adirondack Foundation Special and Urgent Needs Fund (SUN) is ready to handle tax deductible donations for the Valley Grocery.

The link to donate by credit card is:
https://www.adirondackfoundation.org...ent-needs-fund

Checks should be made payable to "Adirondack Foundation: SUN Fund" with "Valley Grocery" in the memo line. Mail checks to:

Adirondack Foundation
PO Box 288
Lake Placid, NY 12946

Donations can also continue to be made through the Keene Valley Congregational Church:

In response to this loss, the church will have a special offering this Sunday, with proceeds going to the owners. If you would like to make a donation to Keene Valley Congregational Church please memo- note "Valley Grocery" on your check, or place your cash donation in an envelope marked "Valley Grocery." For members and friends currently away from our community, or those who will not be with us during worship this Sunday, you may forward donations to the church and we will make sure they get passed on as indicated.

The church's address is:

1791 NYS Route 73, PO Box 27
Keene Valley, NY 12943

Let us also keep all those impacted by the fire in our prayers and thoughts, reaching out to them in love and support.

Blessings,

Pastor John
