Hal Janssen's wife Jane sent me the link to his Podcast with the Barbless Hook Co. Hal is a legendary stillwater fly fisherman and author of the book Stillwater Fly Fishing Secrets.

I have read his book several times and used his floating line with long leader technique this Spring. I had good success especially with flies like the balanced leech. It was satisfying to be pulling up fish when others on the lake were not and swore the lake was 'fished out' due to winter kill. As Hal says in the Podcast "having the knowledge and putting into practice makes all the difference". I am still working on the knowledge part but that's half the fun.
Just wanted to pass it along. The Podcast makes for a good listen during a long commute to work. I picked up a lot of tips in the Podcast that are also in the book. Hal is very analytical and goes into great detail about all aspects of stillwater fly fishing.
