Round Lake Whitney Wilderness Fishing

One more.....Is Round Lake in the Whitney Wilderness a warm water bass type fishery or a cold water trout fishery? Planning a solo canoe camping fishing trip for Thursday through Labor Day at the end of the month but have not decided where, but I want to know what kind of tackle to bring if I decide to go there....

Also, since it is a bigger lake and I will have a pack canoe, does it get really windy and potentially dangerous?
