Kunjamuk Cave question

Yesterday we attempted to follow an allegedly recent brochure's directions to the Kunjamuk Cave from Route 30 about 3 miles south of Speculator. The brochure said to cross the old iron bridge and look for an unmarked foot path on the left approximately 100 feet past the bridge. Assuming the bridge in question is the Christine Falls Bridge since that's the only bridge crossing the Sacandaga about 3 miles south of the 4 corners in Speculator, does anyone know of the existence of a foot path in this location? Or is it possible that this "footpath" is actually Cave Hill Road, and maybe these were outdated directions stemming from the days when IP owned the land and a permit was needed to hike there?
