Good Day Trip

Hello All,



I'm fairly new to the Adirondacks having moved to the Saratoga region recently. I'm looking to spend a day snowshoeing. My goal is to get into as remote of a region as possible keeping in mind that I would like to hike out and return to Saratoga at a reasonable evening hour. I've read about Five Ponds, Siamese Wilderness, etc. Are these areas fairly quiet on your average weekend and would it be reasonable to assume I can get there, do a solid hike and return home in one day?



I appreciate any advice you may have for me.....
