As a bujinkan-er, as most of you will know, part of the training involves ukeme, the more 'gymnastic' side. I have been out of training for a number of years now and getting back into the knack of flying somersaults and cartwheels is more sluggish than i would like. However practising this outside the dojo represents something of an issue because theres a distinct lack of appropriate places. The local gymnastics club only have an adults class on thursday nights which i cant get to because of other commitments. Our home is rather small and pokey and the prospect abounds of either or both injury and damage to property. The local park is full of dogshit and hard to find a location away from the gaze of rubbernecks. This effectively means the only suitable place to train is in class.
