Cisco Brook Trailhead

Can anyone update me on this trailhead at the north end of Elm Lake Road near Speculator? My buddy and me were going to hike to Rock/Long Ponds last week but the dirt road passing the camp on the right at the beginning was posted. OK to hike thru?
