Spitfire 12 with single blade?

Would the Spitfire 12, if equipped with a high seat, be suitable for paddling with a single blade paddle? I know that single blades are sometimes used with the Spitfire 13 and Rapidfire. But I wonder if there is a minimum boat length below which only low seats and double paddles make sense.
