Most of my pond brook trout fishing has been in the spring, but I am planning a late September trip and was wondering people's thoughs as to how fall tactics differ from those in the spring. Do any of the ponds see hatches in the fall or is it mostly a streamer game? I have a floating, intermediate, and full sinking lines. I plan to bring them all, but which is the most appropriate for the majority of the fishing situations?
Any recommendations as far as flies, or is it just the typical stuff (buggers, ghosts, mikey finns, various nymphs ect)?
