Trail Near Arietta?

Hi, I'm looking at doing a 2 night backpacking trip in mid February. I see a trail on Nat Geo map 744 near a town called Arietta. Seems to run northeast along Sacandaga River off Route 10, then forks toward Ross Lake and to White Lake Mountain.



There is little trail info on my Nat Geo map... anyone with more info on this trail? I don't have the issue of the Discover series (thought it would be in Southwestern issue but doesn't seem to be).
