The wife and I did a nice XC ski today to Moose Pond in Newcomb. We parked at the great camp Santanoni trailhead and followed that trail for 2.2 miles before bearing left on a unbroken trail for 4.7 miles to Moose Pond.
The trail follows an old jeep road the entire way and the grade is easy for skiing. It was tiring breaking trail, but our dog Rev helped with that.:)
14.3 miles round trip. Nobody else was out on this trail, and we only saw 4 people on the trail to the great camp.
