Need recommendation: metal edge touring ski

I was skiing the Jack Rabbit trail this past weekend and it seemed like my old Fischer S Bound skiis just didn't seem to climb like the other skiis being used in the group. One person was using the Catamount by Karhu which seemed to work very well but I don't know if they make them anymore. So for skiing stuff like Avalanche pass and the Jack Rabbit trail what is a good ski? Has anybody else had problems with the old Fischer (like 2004 vintage) SBounds? The waxless pattern seems to be kind of weak compared to other ones.
