Fall Lake Stream 7/17/16

Jackie & I paddled Fall Lake Stream on Sunday to Vly Lake. Not another soul on the water until we were almost back to the put-in. Water is pretty high, especially after the large beaver dam ... the beavers have flooded a considerable amount of area, widening the stream considerably. Saw some herons including one perched in a dead tree. Plenty of songbirds along the way, no other wildlife.

We wondered why there were no loons in Vly Lake ... anyone have any idea why?
