Last Sunday we decided to take a stroll up Mt. Marcy from the ADK Loj parking lot. Weather was perfect and had no crowds to compete with. We appreciated the views from the summit for about and hour and then made the trek back to the car. We started our hike at 8:20 and were back to the car by 6:00. We only saw 4 groups all day and they managed to create a post hole obstacle course for the entire way down. I could not believe the amount of people with no snow shoes attempting to summit Marcy with these soft conditions. SNOW SHOES REQUIRED. SPREAD THE WORD. A few pictures below.
