Hello all,
I am planning a little solo trip the third weekend of May (15-19) and have a few questions if I could.
First, as I am travelling alone is there a service locally who can for a fee provide one way transportation from the trail head At hwy 9 to the trailhead at Chapel Pond on hwy 73? I would like to park my vehicle and start at other end of trail. I was thinking of inquiring at the Mountaineer or EMS or something if need be as another option.
Second, I am struggling to determine whether or not there is an actual tentsite near Marie Louise Pond? I was hoping to catch the Leanto - (first choice) on Giant, second choice would be the tentsite - bonus if the tentsite permits open fire. I have read several different veins of thought on this and am not sure what is accurate - the rules of the park seem to indicate no, but I seem to read other opinions as well.
Sorry for the long winded post, hope someone can point me in the right direction here.
Cant wait till I get back into the Woods!!
