Hiking on Iron Man Sunday

As a general caution, plan to hike somewhere other than any hike accessed by Rt. 73 north of St. Huberts. Adirondak Loj will be O.K. if one goes early (before 8 AM) before any bikes reach Keene and then leaves after 3 PM when Rt. 73 will be back to two lane traffic so that one can go back to Keene. Going toward Lake Placid will be congested for much longer given that the marathon portion of the Iron Man impacts Rt. 73 going into Lake Placid.

Additionally, there are three bridges between Keene and St. Huberts that are one lane, and the weekend traffic could cause long delays at each one.
