Mocanaqua Trail vistas

I hiked the north part of this loop on a ridge high above the Susquehanna River for a sunset view. This section of trail has a couple nice views, but my goal was an off trail vista from a huge, slanted conglomerate ledge. The views were superb. These trails have a lot of big rocks, cliffs, ledges, and mining remnants such as chasms, pits, and trenches that actually make the hiking interesting in places where the forests have healed. This area is also very popular with rock climbers. This area is now part of the Pinchot State Forest. The Little Shickshinny Creek Falls are close by.
