Hey All. My wife and I are coming up from DC to fish and hike in the Adirondacks (first time!). Right now, we have no idea what area to stay in to plan our trip around. We really want some good fishing so figure let's start there.
We will NOT have a boat plus I grew up in central PA stream fishing. Ideally, we'd like a location that gives us some variety of where to fish (without driving consistently more than 60 minutes one way) while only being able to wade. No specific species we are targeting... just want to catch fish!
We are both pretty novice flying fishermen so we also would like to have a day with a guide to show us a bit of the area so we can use that the rest of our week.
