Streams in October?

Hey guys, first timer on the forum here.

I'm planning a 4 day GRT with a few friends on Columbus Day weekend. I was thinking of hiking down after Lower Wolfjaw and Basin, but I wanted to get some input from people who have been out there more than I have. Assuming we take the side trails off the Range and hike down some, should we be able to find water?
