Sucker Brook Trail

Anyone been down the Sucker Brook Trail from the NPT to Lewey Lake, along Colvin Brook at all this summer or is it still closed? Looking for a report on its condition because I am thinking of heading down it in a couple of weeks. I know in the past it has been said it is fairly poorly maintained and can be tricky to follow in many places, with frequent checks on the compass being an absolute must. Is this still primarily the case? Has it gotten even worse and more overgrown? If you have been down it recently any info/advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm planning to head west to east ending at Lewey (if it's even open, that is). Thanks.
