Blue ledge pond + overlook (9/2/2016)

The only time I had been to Blue Ledge on the Hudson, was on a rafting trip through the Hudson gorge. I revisted it today via the state DEC trail from North woods club road. After reaching the end of the trail at the beach area across from the cliffs (blue ledge), I crossed the Hudson river. A bit downstream I picked up another trail (yellow blazes) that lead back up the south side of the gorge to blue ledge pond with a side trail to an overlook. The trail continued, presumably to Northern frontier camp, but I returned back the way I came. Had a lovely day for this adventure.
