Lower Sister's Lake from Big Moose

well, my friend Abby and i both had a day off, and decided to finally explore Sister's for a future backpack trip. we paddled across Big Moose to the trailhead on the inlet, then hiked in 3.2 pretty easy miles to the lean-to. very clean and a beautiful site, w/ a pair of loons keeping close tabs on us. the foliage was just about prime, and the paddle back into the sunset pretty nice, except i forgot my sunglasses. :) the trail in is easy to follow and pretty dry, watch out for the log bridges tho, very slick! we spent a bit of time looking for the canoe that rumored to be on the lake, but no luck. :( we made a feeble attempt to bush-whack to upper sister's, but that's not our forte, and turned back to spend more time at the lean-to. did wish i had brought my fishing pole as there were a lot of fish in sister's and big moose. oh well, next time!
