Giant Mountain

Hiked Giant Mountain via the giant ridge trail yesterday. Started just after 10am and arrived back at car at 4pm. Took about 3.5 hours to get to peak and only like 2 hours to get down. We stopped numerous times on way up to enjoy view. Rain was to set in around 2pm so we enjoyed everything while there was no cloud cover. Around 2pm the clouds set in and limited our visibility and only very very light rain. At the peak it was very windy and cold. The best views we had were about .1 before the washbowl, about .5 to .9 after the washbowl, and at top of course. Hiked this same trail about 6 years ago during the winter and forgot how much elevation was involved. Trail was in good condition and foliage was unbelievable. Only one spot in the first .5 miles was hard to follow due to some trees down but otherwise marked and packed down trail made it easy to follow. There were a lot of people and I mean a lot. We must have crossed paths with like 40+ groups. Great trip all together. See attached for pics - pics are at the spots mentioned above and a picture of the washbowl.
