I was wondering if anyone had any experience or opinions on the Old Town Castine kayak (13 feet)
I've been keeping my eye open for a kayak for myself (5' 10" female). I would be mostly using it for basic day trips on creeks and lakes (no whitewater). I also would like to have the option of maybe taking it for a 1-2 night trip.
In the past I have paddled my dad's Necky kayak (I believe it is the Manitou Sport, 10' 11" according to their website) and his wife's 12 year old Perception Acadia (she thinks its 17' but I'm pretty sure it isn't more than 13'. Looks like this one). Out of those two, I prefer the Perception, it's tracks much better through the water than the Necky.
I found the pictured one above on Craigslist for what I think is a good price and am planning to go take a look at it this weekend. Just wanted to get some opinions before I go to see it. Thanks
