My godson is a nice lad but when he doesn't get his own way he throws a screaming tantrum. This really bugs me because life is hard and kicking his mum because he can't have chocolate before his dinner is not acceptable. He is only 5 but they generally give him his way and give into his demands. If he continues to act up his dad will shout at him and drag him to his room.
For me this is messed up because he is now emulating his dad's temper. He is also rude to people and disobedient when his friends are over.
Am I being a little too concerned? Generally speaking, kids do grow up but I want him to have a good chance and if he is refusing to learn to read and playing on his tablet instead it could be a hindrance.
I suggested some time in the corner but his dad doesn't want anyone to interfere.
