Whats going on fellow outdoorsman and outdoors women? I've check this site out before but havent been an active memeber and I got sick of not being able to see the beautiful trout some have shared.
Just a little about me, I'm 30 years old and live in Saratoga county (Ballston Spa). I enjoy fishing for all types of fish and I mostly practice C&R but do keep some on occasion (the wife loves fresh fish and if I bring one home it's easier to get out the next time). I have a little girl who will be 4 in September who has recently started fishing with me. She loves it, I now feel guilty when I go by myself. Even mom likes to fish and we have had some good times already this Spring.
Most of my time is spent on the Kaydeross but I do head north from time to time. Lake Durant is one of my favorite places to go for bass, we have caught some really nice fish out of there. We also ice fish a number of lakes in the Daks. I'm going to try my hand at fly fishing this summer, my fathers set up was collecting dust so I asked him to use it and I'm looking forward to dabling. Any advice would be great as all I know is basic casting and thats about it. I know there are a good number of fly fisherman here. I also bow and gun hunt in the souther tier.
I look forward to sharing my experiences and reading about yours.
