West mountain Pigeon Lake Trail Conditions

Planning a trip to the Pigeon Lake Wilderness area by way of the West Mountain Trail. Anyone have any trail condition information. I read that the trail between Shallow Lake and Cascade Lake may be impassable. Anyone Know.
