Where to catch smallies or large mouth in west Adirondacks?

My old man and I are planning to head up to fish the Adirondacks for two weeks at the end of July and we are looking for new spots to make day trips to. We are staying on Star Lake, NY with a little experience fishing in Cranberry Lake and Wanakena.



We plan to make a trip to Black Lake one day because we've never been but are looking for a couple more places to explore. Love to go exploring new lakes in the Adirondacks! We mostly fish top water for smallies because we're addicted to it. But are open to trying out new methods.
